What do these power/comfort switches do ??

My friends got a 3rd generation maxi auto and me and him are curious was these power and comfort buttons do right by the shifter ??...i dont remember the abbriviations for it but someone must know what im talkin about... im sure they do something like shift points but can someone explain it for me thanks

They merely vary the rpms which the tranny will shift. For example, in everday driving the "C" setting will shift the car at around 2800 rpms whereas the "P" setting will shift the car at around 3500 rpms. Usually I just leave mine in the middle setting since the computer will automatically shift to the "P" setting if you floor the gas. Also, the "P" setting will leave the car in a lower gear for my power so if you are running through the twisties, this is the preferred setting.

you know ive driven my car every which way possible and i dont feel the difference, and i feel every bit of power my car has
