There's only 1 slight problem. Those coilovers are designed for a A31 Maxima. You have a J30 unless you got yours from overseas. And there is that much of difference between our cars. Sorry to burst your bubble.

But give Matt some time. He's working on a coilover setup for our cars right now. I'm going to be trying out a different set later this year to see what the long term effects are.

Matt is still working on coil-overs? Yikes! I gave up on that years ago. With a nice set of Koni's and eibach's you will out handle a coil-over set up especially with the money left over to buy anti-sway's and sub frame bracing. I know someone with a stanza had a coil-over set-up which i am almost possitive it has the same suspension set-up as a max. Also maybe the 3rd gen group needs to get a company to make a 1mm+- bigger anti-sway bar kit that is adjustable and hollow!

the ride quality on the Eibach//Koni combo is about the best you'll find, but you can still corner significantly better if you go the coilover route and up the spring rates... Which is of course what makes the ride quality so much worse on the coilover setup..

but yes, there are definite improvements available out there.

well, you can also go back down on the spring rates and get similar performance levels with streetable spring rates...

a coilover uses standard diameter springs that you can order from any race shop with any spring rate and free length you want. you can adjust ride height, preload, and often shock damping and camber/caster as well...

thus you can set the coilovers to what you like and what makes the car handle the best for your application.

A regular macpherson strut is the same basic design, but it uses springs that are specific to that particular car, and often trim lin.e (the SE springs on a Maxima are slightly stiffer than GXE springs, but they both fit in the same strut assembly.)
