Quick!! -what voltage?

What voltage should be going to the selinoid? Not the line from the battery, but the line from the ignition telling it to fire?

OK my main solenoid was not firing occasionally, and now tonight it totally stopped firing. I thought it was bad, so I had the starter/solenoid replaced at Autozone (lifetime warranty)

SAME problem... The voltages are where they should be except for the lead from the ignition to the solenoid. It was only getting 6 volts when I turned the key.

Any idea what could be causing that?

A ghetto confession:
SO for now I ran a wire from the ignition lead going to the solenoid into my car, and another "hot" lead from the + of my battery. I touch them together and WHAMMO my car starts

So if anyone has an idea of how to remedy the insufficient charge going into the solenoid then post up. Thanks!

check your ignition switch.
I know the switch uses 2 leads to start the car.
