Replacing exhaust manifold studs...
Hello 3rd gen'ers...
I had two 3rd gens, a 1993 and a 1994. I got rid of both and moved on to a 1997 SE. You know what, the 3rd gen sure was a lot nicer to work on, location of fuel filter, plugs, everything just so easy-- I miss those cars.
One repair that wasn't so easy (at least for me) was the manifold studs. My 1994 sheared and was making an air leak sound bad. The 1993 didn't shear yet, but through the help of this forum-- people said "dude, replace them now before they shear".
I bought two complete kits from Courtesy Nissan to repair this issue complete with new upgraded studs, gaskets, washers, etc. A friend of mine who was supposedly a mechanic failed at fixing my 1994 and gave me the parts and car back. Wound up having Nissan fix it.
I'm left with a box of parts, new in their bags. I posted them in the For Sale forum here, and also on eBay:

I wanted to post a message here-- perhaps if anyone else has a 3rd gen and they want to fix this problem, my old parts might save you some money.
Take care 3rd gen folks, those cars rock! (except my tranny also kicked it on the 1994 at 100K... but you know what, I fixed it and drove that baby all the way to 248K and then gave it to my dad. He had the front end re-painted, had it detailed, and still drives it. It's now got like 270K on it and doesn't leak oil and still gets great gas mileage... what a car!).
