door locks not working

i switced all my door panels and now the door locks dont respond to key or button the only sign of them working at all is when i get out of the car and lock it from the inside ( by pushing it down) AS soon as i shut the door it pops up and i heve to lock it from the outside

Sounds like something went wrong when you took things apart. If it was working properly before you replaced the panels, I wouldn't think it was the door lock timer, but who knows it could of messed up in the process of replacing the panels but not likely. What I would do is remove all the panels and check all the connectors you unplugged and plug them again, the obvious ones, disconnecting the light connector has nothing to do with power door locks, use some common sense when doing it. I would try the driver door first, where the unlock and lock switch is and go from there.

Good luck,
Diego

I'm having a problem wth the door locks too, also the windows, and the sunroof..
and the seatbelts not getting power. Are they all on the same relay? Do they share any same wiring?

1 more question, under the passenger seat, what goes there as far as wiring or relay?

the driver door: Maybe lock sw adjustment on the edge or connector fallen off, some wire cut?

if the door is open and you lock it and the close the door, the lock will pop up unless you hold the outside door handle up...this is normal

does the power door lock switch work once you're in the car?

gonna have to second D-sta and say that it sounds like a connection wasn't made or wire pinched or some other damage.

the symptoms you describe are exactly what i experience when i disconnected the driver's master switch

read the whole description...he never said the he closes the door before he locks it from the inside so he could simply be "locking the door from the inside"
while the door is open...the altrernative is that the window could be open - so i doubt its a "procedural problem"

Door Locks Not Working

I have a similar problem with my 1992 Maxima, the locks have been working fine. I washed it and afterwards the only way to lock/unlock is to manually use the key. The unlock/lock button in the door doesn't respond it only makes a (turning signal sound in the dashboard somewhere) if I push the lock down inside it doesn't make any of the doors lock, also when I use the key outside to unlock or lock it doesn't respond at all now. Does anyone have any suggestions???

Internetautomator: Youre not jealous; u would not change Chicago to six feet mossquitoes and 50F summer, 5$ per gallon gas etc... But the sw is the only way I may try to boast ... well maybe headlight wipers.

The orig q: youre righty dawifey, I've got procedural thin king problems. The door feature is that as u close door - it unlocks. Do that with keeping door handle up - works.

6 ft mosquitos: Check
50*f Summers : Check
$5 per gallon gas: Not yet

Heated seats are pretty much the only reason I'd buy a car with leather.
and I wouldn't mind headlight wipers either.

Thank you for telling us the good news. I think this forum has made lots of happy maximists during past years...

Btw, I suspect a bad contact (if the ECU relay was the problem): quite possibly if reinstalling that relay back, no problims...
