350z track edition pics

Just for the hell of it, I mounted 2 rears on the front and rear. Fronts are okay. Rears clear the strut by HAIR (as I've suspected) but would probably rub the fender when turning hard or going over bumps. It might work if you ground/modded the inner lip. But the oem rear tire is too large anyway.

pretty slick, if you don't mind me asking where do get your seemingly endless supply of rims to play with?

about $5k worth of wheels and tires and dude can't even afford a decent floor jack.

I think the G35 rims look better, but I guess those will do in a pinch.

It's at my Dad's place. Anyhoos, using the oem jack was actually faster. I got a cheapo one at the house but I don't like it.

Me neither. G35 = very good looks. Z wheels = forged + Rays.

I guess you missed the detail. Look how many lugs are holding the wheels. Plus my daughter was taking a nap. I barely had enough time to do this

I'm not looking at the details now, I'm too tired
They say forged eh?

just a hard choice. I really do think the G35 wheels looked good on it. Alot of it was probably the finish too. I think the 350z wheels will look good too, but just need some more pics They both probably look alot better in person :-D

I don't know if they specifically say forged. I think they do. Important thing is that they are forged and they are manufactured by Rays Engineering. aka Volks or what have you

Jeaously has been one of your strong points I do seem to have an odd oem wheel fetish though.

Also odd is people always pm/post me about finding wheels that clear bbk kits. I have 3 sets right here that clear w/o any spacers etc...

I had nothing to do at work one day and I pulled my car in and my buddy had just ordered some wheels for his M3. Well, he ordered some wheels that are 5X114.3/5X120. 8" wide wheels in front with a 235-45-18 in front and 9" wide wheels in the rear with a 245-45-18 and they fit almost perfectly. They only rubbed on the strut in the rear the slightest. The fronts fit perfectly. I'll see if I can't take a pic. because he didn't like them, so he returned them. Now, they're just sitting around our shop. I was pretty amazed that they even fit in the first place.

How did you fit M3 wheels on your Max, did they have dual drilled 5 lug holes?

I did go drive it around. Only rubbing was on the rear strut and that wasn't rubbing much? It was rubbing enough to where I could hear it, but it wasn't grinding or anything? When I said it almost fit perfectly, I meant that it was so close to perfectly fitting but it's only flaw was the rubbing. When I lowered the car off the lift, they sank right up perfectly into the wheel well. Like I said, I'll try and get some pics of them tomorrow.

Um yeah. Sorry to tell you but if it's rubbing at all, that means it doesn't fit. If you can hear it, that means it REALLY doesn't fit. Either way, it's a hookie way to run some wheels/tires, not to mention a dangerous way to run them.

I bet cleaning around the valve stem takes more time on these than the G35 wheels do

Just the wheels? To get the oem Michelins, you have to spend another $600 or so. Or buy my G35 wheels/tires for $900.

BTW. I'm running 4 fronts now. 18x8 with the oem 225-45-18s. Almost perfect. Pics up later.
