Body kit= big waste of money. For the price of that kit you could have parts that actually do something: an intake, exhaust, flywheel, rims, etc. If you must have one, though, go with stillen.

111 isn't a body kit. It's just a extension. And personally, I don't like 484. Stillen is alright... but just to plain for me. Too bad WW doesn't make one anymore.

I'm going with 111, but that's not for some time. also try www.custommaxima.com They were selling them the cheapest last I saw

if you can find someone selling a wings west, jump on the offer, thats the best in my opinion, everyone says stillen but.....eeeeeveeeeeeeeryone has one, 111 would be what i get, but if i was you.....do other stuff first, do your interior first, engine, then exterior

You should most def go with engine/performance upgrades. There are lots of links to maxima.org member's DIY pages, which are awesome. Audio might be a good choice, too, but bodykits are expensive and pretty lame for 3rd gens.

The org is a great place to start learning. And if you plan on keeping the car for any amount of time and don't have fistfuls of cash to throw at oblivious mechanics, I highly suggest you start learning about our cars. If you donate $20 bucks you get the feature of searching the threads, too. And if you are interested in visual upgrades, BMW projector headlights is a good one. Maximas are truly driver's cars - not rice toys with rims and speakers
So start learning and make your maxima uniquely your OWN. 4dsc's are not bought, they are built.

I sort of like the front of the 111, looks alot like the Infinity front, but the side skirts and rear are not so hot. The 484 is reayyl different, like the exhaust locations, just not so happy with the front, too many horizontal lines, mabye if the bar bewteen the driving lights were removed and the like bar in the rear, then you might have something. IMO

the 484 looks like youd need to do a bunch of custom work, and the 111 doesnt even seem to fit right. both dont seem to flow with the car either.

I'm with you on this. I don't like either of them very much. Maybe with a little remodelling the 111 would look metter but that'd take a lot of work. Better to go with the stillen kit.

because they want to change the rear end and make it look like a neon just playing man.

as for that xenon kit, its not bad. of course resembles a stillen kit and costs twice as much as one.

Since we're asking for an opinion, here's MY two cents:

I know a LOT of people say to forget about the kit and go with intake, exhaust, etc.., but some folks just aren't into that kinda stuff. Some like "show" over "go".

And some people have already said this, and I tend to agree, but even though the Stillen kit flows with the natural "lines" of the Max and all, it just seems that everyone HAS that kit. And while I'm sure it's because of that reason it's so popular, I sometimes get a sense of "overused" when I see it nowadays.

That's not to say that it doesn't LOOK nice (Chris's white Max being a perfect example )... there's just too many of them around, IMHO.

That being said, if it were MY car, I'd go with a "mix-and-match" theme out of the two - using the front of 111 kit, Xenon or Stillen sides, and the rear of the 484 kit. Too bad Wings West isn't "in the game", so to speak...

I've seen the 484 in person, and it DOES need a lot of "personal attention" to make it look good - which, sometimes, is the price you pay for fiberglass. But if done right, it looks awesome!!!

I've seen one first hand as well. And honestly... uggghhh.

And though the stillen kit does flow with the body lines... to me it seems there isn't even a kit on the car. The WW kit was a little too ricey for me. I like the 111, has the old school style I like.

haha. have u guys seen that big kaminari kit? i saw one a year ago in my work place. that max was rusting out and didn't have any decernable upgrades except that kit. IMO it looked real fugly..

i've always thought the 111 looked decent.. and i agree that stillen it is way too over used. wings west looks good but they don't make any anymore.. maybe if we get a group deal going here they might start making them again.. since they have the mold and stuff already..

yeah in this thread look at therealgoons car.

As far as being over used you guys have to remember just because 10 or 15 people on this board have it (which is still a small percentage) doesnt mean there is a bunch in their city that have it.

I travel all over MS for my job and I have only seen one max that had a stillen kit and it wasnt complete (didnt have the front lip). My point is that you can be original in your city even if not on this board which is devoted to 3rd gen maxima enthusiests so of course there will be more Stillen kits on here.

I still dont understand where people say it doesnt look like there is a kit on the car with the stillen. Look at these 2 pics...same suspension, same wheels, same car except with the stillen on and off. BIG difference IMO...

Sorry but that is a BIG difference (the car looks good either way if I do say so myself ) and you can obviously tell there is a kit on the car whether it flows with the design or not.

I am not trying to sway anyones opinions just stating what I think. The bottom line is its your car so if you like it do it whether we will like it or not.

It's ww, the only modification was a little trimming to the rear.
These pics are REALLY OLD, but it shows the kit.

it's because the stillen kit is the only kit that truely matches the body lines of the car. it looks like it belongs on there...nice and subtle. half of these tuners want the big ugly obnoxious kits you see at shows...ala civics, eclipses etc etc

There's only ONE person here like that. He's still working on a wide body kit.

ALL of the kit MADE for our cars are not big like the blitz kits u see.

I used to have the Erebuni 111 on my old maxima.....i think it looks nice... but its just a pain in the A$$. It's 10 pieces which means too many seams....where as the stillen kit is only 4. Im actually going to put my stillen kit on this afternoon.

heres the old max with the 111

To each his own, but I like the stillen. I rarely see any tuned or kitted 3rd gens in SLC, so any kit would be unique.
