ok I have seen the nprobe setup for nissan cars bu the problem it is $500 and does look like it would work well with the exception I do not think an OBDI car would have as much information as the OBDII systems.

My question is, does anyone know if there is palm pilot software to datalog or even scan an obdI system,i have a palm sitting around doing nothing and I think it might be neat to play with.

I know aaron was trying something using the zemulator but did anything come out of it? Also I have read people had limited success with conzult with the ve30de but it is more laptop oriented

there is software you can use, but you also have to build small device that takes the data from the ECU and converts it to serial for your computer.

Spipedong had his working for a few minutes. I never really got around to building one for the VE, it uses Z32 software though.

with the obdI system what sensors will it read in the software?

O2,MAF,engine RPM and such?

also injectors and such. Honestly I never saw Keelans working so not too sure. Pretty handy though.

I am definatly going to try to build one,Rather have it for the palm since It would be super simple instead fo having to lug a laptop in the car,coudl make aholder for the palm liek they did for the nprobe.

I am still working on this. I am in this project too deep to back out now. Me and Ash are experimenting with different setups and trying to figure out with one is going to work.

I already got a 300zx ECU and 300zx MAF to work in my car. But I'd say it only worked about 95%. I still had some slight idling issues with that ECU. But if I can't get the ZEM working in the VE ECU, then I will have to swap the z32 ECU into my car again and use that to tune my future turbo project.
