VG RE4F02 (7L)
VE RE4F04 (9L)
VQ ?
The oil capacity (xL) tells smtg about tranny pwr design calculations, 04 can 'handle more'.

since i saw no mention of whether it had to be auto or manual the 5-speeds are:
RS5F50A - non-vlsd
RS5F50V - vlsd
borg warner seems to like keeping the tranny code the same even though they're different. (i.e. the code is the same for the VG/VE and VQ yet the VQ has a totally different bell housing bolt pattern.)
i hate borg warner

every company I can think of keeps the trans name the same regardless of what bellhousing it has on it.
example : Jeep cherokee has an A240E trans, same trans a RWD toyotas. same internals, so the trans code remains the same.
