Driving the un-modded car

Been driving my daughter's Black 92 SE this week as she is in Colorado. This way I get to find out what all needs to be fixed. Anyway since my Red 92 SE has a warspeed y-pipe and a Ractiv muffler the difference is very noticeable. You get used to the mods and the gains they made until you drive a stock car. When I get back in the Red, wow!

Ha a stock 89 thats down on alot of power (5 speed like my s10) feels like a dream as far as ride and power goes. The s10 is lowered and has a 4cyl. Has somelike like 90RWHP and no tourqe. The max... The s10

Needs front wheel bearings, a couple of freeze plugs are leaking coolant, the clock is fritzing now and needs an alignment. Other than that it runs good!

Please, you still have power. I have to drive a 2.2L 4cyl, in a s10, which is just as heavy as our max's. And its lowered, 4in in front, and 5in in back, so it looks like crap, rides like crap and is slower then grandma in a minivan. gets bad mpg since I drive it like its a maxima. It could use a 6th gear on the highway.

haha yeah the firebird has probably the worst of all combinations... a big block engine, a 650 4 barrel carburator, 275/60 tires, a three speed transmission, but i have learned to control my foot so now i accelerate like my dead grandmother. I used to accelerate like a bat out of hell with the VE and i would still get about 19 MPG, now i get like 15 if i baby my firebird.

Yeah, I added Eibachs/Tokicos, rear sway bar (did you drive it before you stuck that on?)

I also put on a blehmco rstb.

The wavey part is much better now.

I've been able to drive my car for weeks, yet I've been driving a 91 Jimmy instead

you tell me

oh, the Jimmy gets <15mpg, the AC doesn't work, doesn't have much power, for some reason it blows hot air on you out the vents when you are driving down the highway (nice on the 80* days). Best of all sometimes when you signal the windshield wipers go off.

This thread reminds me of when I drive the car on the right. (sig) It is old and tired with failing fuel injectors. But the one of the left chips second gear.
