Electronics, one more try

I'm gonna need help. I've tried like everything I can, tried to use my head, logic, common sense, the fsm, the haynes manual, the internet, google, nissanforums, testing and twisting and turning but it just won't work I'm going

My question is quite simple I think:
On a 91 auto max, is the ASCD (cruise control) wired to the tranny somehow?

Would anyone know that here..? Pls say you do

I'd guess that some of these cables has something to do with it (the ones that's not connected)

The cables that are not connected are the following:
One green cable from the smaller harness that contains the position sensor.
One green thin cable, one yellow/blue, one yellow black and one yellow/brown from the larger harness that contains the reverse lights.

That's 5 unused cables, not counting the two connectors for solenoids in the F21 harness.

I dunno dude, my cruise control (ASCD) just worked when I did my 5 speed swap, and as far as I know the only way that it is connected to the tranny is through the speed sensor. I'm not sure how or if you even do have the clutch switch (up position) hooked up to the ASCD system, but maybe you did that wrong?

U never told how many pins your ASCD box has. Pls count an tell: I DO say that is crucial...

It must be so that models DO differ, and u must (=me also) find the right year model manual to get the right schema.

hmm sorry I didn't remember you asked. will check that tomowwor or something... just back from a conference so I feel a bit low today.

Alex: I'll put it up on my cardomain site under page 3, at the electronics section, whenever I solve the problem.

twinkle: yeah I think you're onto something there... I didn't put in the clutch sensor thingy, it broke while I took down the clutch pedal. didn't think I'd need it anyway, but as I think about it that would mean the crusie control wouldn't stop if I depress the clutch and that's dangerous man... need to hook up that thing.

GRNMAXDMON just told me his A/C does work after his swap so there goes my theory about that... man I just hope I forgot to connect some cable coz I don't wanna replace any expensive parts

time for bed...

thanks guys
