the Eibachs (I suspect) are making a good amount of noise in the rear over small bumps? What is the solution to this? Hmm..i suspect his is a FAQ...:-p
Also, what are my chances of getting the shop to fix this problem free of charge since, after all, they did the install?

Thanks!

Did you replace the struts at the same time as the Eibachs were installed? If not, it looks like it may be time for some new struts. The shop should at least diagnose the problem to let you know what the real problem is.

Had the same problem

If the shop didn't put the spring pads (urethane tubes that covers the top coil and bottom coil) from the old springs onto the new ones then you will get the clunking over bumps. Check the old springs if you have them and see if they are still there.

If they gave you any labor warranty have them put the pads on. I just had the same problem and that cleared it up. it clunks every once in a while now but the springs haven't settled yet.

You may also want to check the bars that come off the sway bar and attach at a swival joint at the frame points. One side on my max wore a hole in the bracket that the swival piece attached to and the support bar come loose allowing the sway bar to move more than it should. Matt had a pic of what I'm referring to. Also, when the shop put mine on they didn't tighten up the upper strut bolts, I had to go back and tighten them, but that's what you get when you don't do things yourself!

Hey coolio....I've got it too....a little. I've found that my STOCK rear sway bar has become VERY loose on the driver side mount near the bottom of the strut. You can go under there and wiggle it....not good. The rubber bushing is gone. Hell....fixing it may even make the car handle better than it already does

I'll keep ya posted....I don't think I'm doing the st sways anytime soon....

PLUS I gotta update my VQ savings in the bottom of the page
