advice on engine mounts?

am going to do engine mounts (plus tranny mount).

I remember seeing an advice somewhere on where to support when taking off what mount, etc...

All I remember now is using a wood block on jack to support the engine, but can't find the link or advice anywhere.

Anyone know or have instructions on where to support on a VG30E?

I used a wood block under the oil pan, and blocks under the tranny, then dropped the crossmember and all of that fun stuff.

if you are just going to do the mounts you shouldn't have to drop anything, just support the side of the engine with the mount you will be removing and bolt on the new one. do one at a time. although with the tranny you can do both at once.

If you're just replacing them, do one at a time (both tranny mounts) with the engine supported. If you're filling them with polyurethane, support the engine very well (two jack+wood or whatever works) and remove all at once.
