I am considering advancing the timing on my car. What are the advantages of doing this? Should I wait until I change the timing belt on my car before advancing?

the benefits are more slightly more power, but you can ONLY run high octane gas if/when you do it.
with the current power mods you have (basically none), I don't recommend doing it simply because you have to pay a lot more money for high octane gas, when you'll get 2-3hp out of it. not worth it unless you've got a lot more mods on the car.
