Good cuz I like good stuff for cheap, then once I start getting paid I need some KYB GR-2 or AGX...cant quite afford Koni or eibach and dont really plan on doing some hardcore cornering anyway.

Look at www.Centerline.com they have some discounted rims for sale a lot cheaper than most forged wheels.
Went to look at the discounted rims and actually the link is:

Thanks, they are

225/45/17

Kelly Springfield EVO-Z (exact same tire as a Goodyear Eagle F1 GS-D2).

The only tires close to the stock size (so your speedometer isn't all wack) for 17s are 225/45/17, 235/45/17 and 215/50/17.

A lot of performance tires aren't made in a 225/50/17, so there isn't much of a selection. 215/50/17 are kind of hard to find, too. For example, the Toyo T1-S, Proxes 4 and Proxes FZ4 are not available in 225/50/17.

I was worried about my 42mm offset rubbing the rear struts with 235/45/17, plus the tires I bought have a rubber "rim protector" that stick out even wider than the tread. Right now, it is pretty tight. Really, I should have more like a 38 offset or something, but I got a really good deal on the rims.

haha so one company doesnt make 225/50/17 thas not a lot. oh well. you are only 2% off stock size. i just got some falken 512s for my 17s. mixed reviews on them but they were dirt cheap.

That was just one company I looked up. You are right that the 225/50/17 is closer to the stock size, but 225/45/17 and 235/45/17 are just a lot more commonly found in tire stores. If you go to most shops, you would have to order up a set of 225/50/17s, where the others are probably in stock.

When I went to buy tires, I looked into the three sizes I mentioned and it was a lot harder to find options in 215/50/17 and I am sure it's the same for 225/50/17. Mostly the 215s they had were all seasons and I wanted performance tires. Those are actually the best choice -- only .1 percent off.

lmao ... Well I'm probably the only one here with a totally stock 3rd Gen anymore too ... I have had a few mechanicial problems I'm just finishing up getting ironed out and now I'm itching to start doing some fun work on it.

I've been clicking and bookmarking every link I come across so I can start making my Christmas wish list out since I know I don't have to put a head gasket on that list now.

Those wheels are AWESOME by the way! Super-sharp looking.
