while changing vacuum lines, i found this hose disconnected and couldn't find the other end!
It is directly under the intake air damp box and on the tranny control valve cover?

Come to think of it, I once found a plug in that general area that seemed to have no match.

Most common looseenooseehose -question here is for A/T breather hose.

 

Well after cleaning the sleep out of my eyes and taking a second look at the thread, the hose you point out is the tranny breather hose...It's function is the let the transmission's hot air and gases to escape from the casing when it heats up....

 

Your second sight is better than mine... i cannot decipher. Anyways, better leave breather hose 'disconnected'.
