mordezmoncou IM'd me:
the shifter has no springy feeling like normal, moves very very freely from left to right inside the car

yeah hes right their is a little spring that goes it their it puts tention on the shifter to keep it from being floppy.

I doubt you can buy it at any store....Either try the junkyard or go to lowes or home depo and get a spring that will work....

It does feel kinda diff without it.
i dont know if i like it.
Im so used to moving my shifter from left to right when im sitting at a redlight
ive got adhd so ive got to have something to fidget with when im not driving or doin something

My spring fell off a couple of months ago when I dropped the tranny, and I've been too lazy to put it back on. I dont like how it feels without it... heres a pic of it, CSI style... when stretched it goes out to about 2.75 inches..

heh actually i like it. I jus got home from getting some food and gas, and i think im goin to leave it like this

will it hurt anything?
or can it cause any damge?
