55K? dang, that's low miles.

Without actually seeing the car, it's diffficult to say.

It is hard for me to part with a lot of money on a car over 10 years old, even with low miles and everything else. That car has very low miles, but that doesn't always mean it was well maintained all these years.

One thing is that it's somewhat hard to find a VE 5-speed. It's also hard to find almost ANY car more than 10 years old with less than 60k miles.

Bluebook says $3800 private party, but I would probably say $4500 would be my personal max if the car was mint (no dents, no rips in leather, no VTC ticking, excellent paint condition). However, some guys would argue to pay less or more. It might be worth even more, just because you don't find many with so few miles.

that color is really rare too. not very many made that color. nice find. a "good" price as a buyer is under bluebook i guess. depends on how much its worth to you.

I don't think I can honestly say I've seen any 3G Maxima in that color. The pics I've seen of Maximas in that color though, are awesome, and I wish mine was that color. If it's got 55k miles on it and is as nice as it sounds, I'd say it'd be worth close to $5000, considering a bit of rarity is added to the price.

$4000 is my max. More or less it's a 12 years old car. A car like that can be apreciated only by an org member. Most of the people wil prefer a 98-99 civic over this. If you buy it for my price you better drive it for 4-5 years because it will be very difficult to sell at anything close to that in a year or two. And of course, being so old, you better be ready to spend some money on it cause it will brake accasionaly. When I think about I'd probably try to get for even cheaper then that....

2k is all I'd pay personally.

The M/T has 237k on it and it runs as well as if not better than my old 133k on it one.

I have seen quite a few GXEs in that color, but not many SEs. There are about two dozen 3rd gen Maximas in my town (I have the only VE 5-speed I have seen!) and three are that blue color and all are GXEs.

I kind of get a feeling that black, white, charcoal and gold (pebble beige) are fairly common. All of the rest seem to be made in smaller numbers.

Ever get the feeling that there are too many 92' VE's out there? The majority of guys here including myself, that own VE 5spds are 92'.. There seems to be less 93's.. And the 94's are just rare is the conclusion I came to.

Edit: A good example is, on this page alone there are already posts made by five 92's and only two 93's. Don't see any 94's

Hmm, I see... Thats not usual for production to end that soon, right? Most seem to end around summer time. Why did they end production so early? Make way for VQ cause they were broke as a joke?

That's probably true.

The 92 model was the first with the added 30 hp and I imagine a lot of people bought them that liked the Maxima's style, but wanted more hp. It also got great reviews in all of the magazines and the increase in hp outclassed everyone but the Taurus SHO in the mid size fwd category.

The new (first gen) Altima came out as a 93 and I think a lot of people went to those, since they were larger than the Stanza and less expensive than the Maxima. Plus, it was new and fresh, where the Maxima body had been around for 5 years at that point. By 94, it seems like the body style was getting pretty tired and I am sure news was out about the 4th gen Maxima.

i dunno, i had a guy willing to sell his blue 93 se5 to me for unknown price but never called him because the color makes me picture a hefty 37 y/o mother with glasses driving around drinking a diet coke..not really my style
