New Redlinemax Y-Pipe

http://forums.maxima.org/showthread.php?t=440611

Anybody know if it compares well to the WSP Y-Pipe as far as performance?

Here's the direct link to it in the redlinemax catalog: http://redlinemax.com/catalog/produc...0c6eeba006bb75

its just a generic picture being used, the production versions look like the normal 3rd gen style y-pipes

Since we're on the topic of exhaust and apparently I can't start threads how much of an impact does gutting the cat do to the gas mileage?

Gutting your c/c does nothing for performance or gas mileage...

Wow, these forums are the worst i've ever been on.
So much un-needed flaming.
I asked a simple question all I wanted was a simple answer BTW thank you "mygreenmax"
It would be great if people actually wanted to help somone out in the forums rather than bash them. I guess there's always the people that are bored off their *** and have nothing better to do... or they don't know and again they are bored...

Ppl that cut their cats-

-Rednecks
-Honda drivers.

And I'm frikn sick of the premadonna 'I'm don't be hatn crap' that come from ppl who have nothing to contribute. I donno about you, but when I meet a new group of ppl having a specific discusion. (Which btw is the redline y-pipe) I don't go hijacking the topic just because you can't post a new thread yet. And it's a good thing you can't go starting a thread right away.

Oh, and welcome.

if a y-pipe was illegal, then fwd v-6's would be some of the loudest cars from the factory

if your refferring to the catalytic converter, thats after the y-pipe so no... its not illegal

btw everyone with a 3rd gen and a y pipe, do you have to call when ordering? cause i never see our years listed.

The y-pipe refers to the collector for the front and rear exhaust banks. You car already has one it's just restrictive as hell. I think what your thinking about is a cutout. That actually y's off the exhaust and bypasses the entire post collector exhaust. That is illeagle for street use as it bypasses the cat.
