it's not a bad idea for that max,

it matche's the rim's but they definetly need to get them in there better. It look's like a cheap fix from a rear end accident. I think i notice a dent at the corner of the car at the top near the trunklid where it meat's the body, and the trunk lok's like it came off another car, notice the space between the body and trunk near the dent. But with a little worrk i think it could look real good on that color with those rim's, atleast he had the ***** to try it, i wouldn't of ****ed with mine unless i new it would come out perfect

I dont like how that looks, completly unprofesional, and looks like theres a dent on top of the lights, and they dont even fit right, not mention i think theyre too small for the car. I think the alteeza should stick to hondas!

well it dosen't look awful, but how much did we spend on all that bodywork? too much...

IMHO, the best way to go is more GO and less SHOW. they'll never see it comin' when you drive a 4-dr.

I like Altezzas, but that looks like pure crap. I definitely would not have paid money for something to look like that.

now you know what would be sweet? if you could get those vette-lookin circles to work like vette tails. inside ones come on with brakes and outsides are turn signals.

I used to like those Altezzas, but now they are just too played out. When I saw them on a Mustang thats when I knew that this trend was waaaaaay overboard. The only ones that I think would be remotely cool are the ones that have the carbon fiber look to them instead of the shiny silver stuff. These would look good on a Max with the black center piece from the earlier 3rd gens. But I really think Altezzas only look good on one car....THE TOYOTA ALTEZZA!!!!!!!!! I am actually gonna be doing a taillight mod soon though, everyone has their secret projects, well this is mine. And lets just say I am staying with a certain Nissan style taillight......nuff said. Hehehehehe...

I know i overslpet, couldnt wake up, then my friend didnt wanna go till the last minute, but i finally went. Well the exhaust is done, Its a 3" straight pipe with no catolitic, (shhh dont tell the cops), increased ignition and timing, ud pulley, stillen intake, stillen short-shift, centerforce stage 2 clutch, eibachs, tokicos, fstb, the engine work is done, the rest is just some body work, custome front which is half way done and as you can the spoiler is missing. I have the custome spoiler just needs to be put on. The only thing left is ST sway bars, and ECU ohh and that cold air intake. Maybe body kit

3" Piping??? Isn't that a little large for a VE? Unless you are running a supercharger then the 3" piping is just gonna be louder and create more backpressure. I don't know how much engine modification you did, but 2.5 inch piping is as big as I would have gone. Isn't it really loud?

i have a VG, yes its loud , sounds like a v6-v8 mustang or something like that. it has back pressure but not too much. alot more power without the catolitic. Very notacable. Ok to be exact its 2.75 I listed all my mods for the engine.

HAHAHA, Jalel's car is infamous now!

at every DC meet he has something new! either a new paint job, new hood, etc. this time when we all met up Sunday morning and he rolled up with those Altezzas and I was shocked! he's not totally done with them, but if he likes them thats cool. but I'm still not an Altezza fan and also still known as ALTEZZA HATER. but other than that his car is fast as CACA, he made me a beiliever as far as the Euro Cams and UDP go, if you guys are looking for the top end mods, I highly suggest the Nismo Euro Cams, difficult install, but an AWESOME MOD!!! I've never seen a VG pull like that!

I can help you out here. I have a 89 SE VG30. And i almost have evry mod there is(except the ones that cost big $$$$)
1. Stillen AIR Filter
2. Stillen Short-Shift
3. Dual Tip Exhaust
4. Warspeed Y Pipe
5. Custom 2.75 no catolitic exhaust
6. Centerforce Dual clutch
7. UR UD Pulley
Id say taking the catback out and the UD pulley is the biggest gain out of all of them, You will defenatly feel the differnce, Also you want performance. Id say Aluminum Flywheel and ECU would really help alot, dont know how much because i dont have those mods myself, but i heard they give alot. If you wanna go for the big bucks. Well u got the cams, polished heads, portout engine, bla bla.

Well......

the Euro cams and Isky cams are available at Nismoparts. and according to the info I found at Z31.com, the best choice would be the Euro Cams since they are mildly aggressive and probably the best chocie for moderately modified N/A engines they also said the Iskys are a little more aggressive(.430 to a .392 lift).

Euro VG Cam= .392 lift 264 intake and exhaust duration-$144

Isky VG Cam= has a .430 lift 256 intake and exhaust duration-$450

check 'em out at Nismo Parts

Thats the issue with cams.....

you have to pull the heads and pop 'em in(but you don't have to pull the whole engine). not an easy task for the non-mechnaically inclined. Also I think getting the heads ported and polished along with the cams will help for more gains as well. I think Jalil got his cams redone after his engine blew so it wasn't that much extra for the guys to put the Euro cams in since the engine was already getting rebuilt. best bets are to talk to a local import repair shop and see what they say, try to go with the "mom and pops" type shops rather than the "high clientile" import shops for lower prices.

Now as far as I remember...

you said a port and polish(p/p) alone would yeild high gains, which isn't true for our cars!(ie- see Don's post on the Main forum) as far as adding cams yes you will see gains. Our stock manifolds and heads are already highly efficient, a P/P would help after adding cams but alone you will see little if any gains. sorry if there was a misunderstanding there somewhere....

as far as I know the price is for one.
