DUDE?!?!? Under the main forums when you log in there is a a category called "Advanced performance" ... click and there is a category "nitrous" ... It doesn't get much simpler. But to help out here is the link:

The NOS forum is going to be your best bet for lots of good information and is interesting reading.

The general feeling is that a stock engine can handle a 50 shot without any major problems. Anything more than that and you definitely want to be upgrading first though.

Well we have guys running turbos, with 200-350HP on stock engines, and the VG's are iron blocks. So yes as long as you have egnough fuel. But those are Q's the for nitrous forum.

The kits themselves are for the most part generic ... Go to ANY of the performance parts website and you'll be fine. I'm about to leave work and go home and go to bed so I'm not going to hunt down a link for this as well.

try a vexx dry kit; set it up to only run when you FULLY depress the accelerator; my buddy has one in his 1.6 civic hatchback; seems very safe...runs at 35 shot i believe...but dont quote me on that.

Also nitrous is inherently used at WOT.

I'm pretty sure the tranny will fail before the engine when using any sort of PROPERLY TUNED nitrous setup.

boosted julio dynos his at 326 wheel hp I think it was.. at 8 psi maybe. EDIT: Turns out the dyno graph on his cardomain page states 283 hp with 268.9 torque. That was his first trip to the dyno and I am rpetty sure when he was selling his turbo setup he psoted a dyno for his car at over 300 hp.

I am honestly not sure but I know it was 300 plus wheel horsepower so at the crank you are getting VERY close to the 350 range.I also rember being impressed as i am with brads setup.. Thats why I got the 5 speed/parts car for mine.. So i can turbo

edit: ok I found his cardomain page and it turns out that nhow he has a 300SX (a 92 240SX powered by a VG30DE)..

mmmmmmm.................nitrous.........ahhhhhhh
sometimes I miss my 5.0 and squeezing on people sometimes. The look on their faces when I hit the 150shot. Very good kick in the pants when you're on the bottle. Only thing that sucked was refilling the bottle all the time. That I don't miss.
And Mr. Gone never did race my 5.0 vs. his stang for a new set of tires. I could've used a new set of rubber for my SS.

im not sure how this posting stuff works i am a truly looking for help. if you guys could just se4nd me in the right direction that would be great. but my problem is that it idles very poorly, if at all. I use outrageous amounts of fuel (50 miles 1/2 tank gas) roughly.it happens randomly. the smell of fuel is coming through the vents, i need to stay on the accelerater just to keep it running. the tranny had nothing to do with it, i just stated that it has a difficult time shifting when it runs like that. and then it stops randomly and runs great. its odd. ive brought to some garages around here and noone seems to beable to tell wht the problem is. ive replaced the maf, and that didnt do the trick. its a 92 maxima

3 psi ago i was at 271 hp at the wheels, so i know im approching rapidly, as is brad and 93gxeturbo, and boostedmaxima. I would say the VG, as long as you get it enough fuel, is good to 400 hp all day long... on a healthy engine. And with VE, i dont know for sure but im guessing there just as strong.

hopefully ill see you there at the 500hp mark. my goal is july, lets see how much boost and nitrious it will handle. ( yes i do plan to do internals )

my motor has 55k on it and im spraying a 75 dry shot on it for the last 2 years. about 15 bottles worth at 10 lbs per bottle. a heat range colder iridium plug and i havnt had any problems. but i did have a dualfriction clutch before i sprayed it. i have no idea if the stock would handle it.

I'll agree on the injector diagnosis.
you may also want to check for exhaust leaks.

if you want it confirmed and are crazy enough , you can bring it down here and I've got a shop that knows maxs very well (he keeps getting stuck fixing mine )

wows its been almost 2 yrs since i posted on here I ran my 92 ve 5 spd in april in NH at NEDW on 55 shot zex dry. drags, and at about 3400lbs, 250kmiles on original motor, pep-boys clutch, intake exhaust. 80-85*F in the day ran 14.79 93.12 mph 60' of 2.26.
night time around 70* got bad launch due to dew on track (track was crap all day humid) 60' of 2.47 94.3 mph 1/4 @ 14.71 so even the 55 shot works alright. dont abuse it. havent raced since kind of growed old. buying a titan after christmas. keeping the max. got parts up the @ss for the motor and a wet kit as well. if i feel like building it up this winter Ill bring to the dragway and ill see how much a ve can handle.
and no negative responses. that just makes you look stupid. there is prob only less then a handful of kids that i met from here like 2 yrs ago that knows whats goin into my car. happy juicin merry f@#$in christmas

ps dont race on streets or highways. just not worth it. dont find out the hard way
Take it to the track

My 94 Ve so far has handled a a 85 shot nitrous and no major probloems yet. I went through a whole 10 pound bottle. With the 85 wet shot it cut my 40-85 time in half. I have a Ebay intake 2 1/4 custom cat back exhasut, warpspeed y-pipe and UDP pulley. Check my Cardomain site out Cardomain
