amount of fluids..

amount of fluids..

well... i am putting new stuff in my tranny...how much wil it hold???? or must i just keep adding some?????? it takes up to 10 quarts right?????? so about 8 is probably ok right??? since i didnt FULLY drain (open up the case) all the fluid and the torque converter still had some.....ohh and our oil for our cars is 4 quarts correct???

My car when i just did a drain, took 6 litres approx. VE Auto

so with 8 you owudl be safe and you coudl always take it back

Tranny capacity is between 8 and 9 quarts, I believe, but it's hard to get it all out. So you may only have to add 4 or 5. Oil capacity is 4 1/8 quarts (VG).

Completely dry the tranny holds 10 1/8 quarts....per fsm...

if the injectors are bad why would it be a random problem, wouldnt it act up all the time?

I don't think there are any fuel injectors in the tranny. I could be wrong though. :-/

the fuel injector is not part of the tranny,

the tranny is seperate

whoring my thread up... LOL....ok.. im gonna buy 9 quarts of tranny fluid.....i went to autozone and they didnt have D4..they had D3 and D5 but no D4.......i heard napa has it.. but do i NEED the D4 to make the tranny run ok?

we had a thread before that told me to not use D3 and use D4...because it had some kind of ash in the fluid...which caused slippage and eventually failure

I would go to the dealer and get the nissanmatic fliud or amsoil...They are both ashless fluids....

IMO it would be stupid to do all this work and then risk screwing the tranny up with dextronIII...
