took 18s off rockin some 17s

they are 17x7 40 offset enkei somethings i dont even know the name of them. i want some spacers to put on to push them out, but the car isnt going to get driven much this winter.

The tires are falken ziex 512s 225/50/17. the bumps arent soo hard anymore and acceleration is quicker. maybe ill sell my 18s...hmm

They look decent for 17's, too bad the offset wasn't a little less to make them more flush with the body though. But I don't know how much my opinion matters since people think I have bad taste in wheels for some reason

I think they look great. I'm not a big fan of anything bigger than 17" They end up looking like the wheel on an old covered wagon. (and ride like it too)

I like those a lot. They look like James92SE's wheels.

I wish I could have found a set like that in gunmetal. I bet they are a lot lighter than my 17s, too.

I actually have a set of 2 H&R spacers that I bought for my third gen but the wheel studs didn't fit in the hub. I spent $140 for them with shipping so it was a waste of money, so just be careful with the H&R's, I think they have two different kinds of studs for Nissans.

if i can find time, my friend said he wold paint them, i wanted him to paint them before i put them on but i was too busy. cuz i think a gunmetal would look pretty tight on my car. james' rims are way better than mine, lol.

sorry I dont like them...I like the G 18s much better.

Of course if you had really light 18s like PAs (my old wheels) then you wouldnt have to worry about acceleration. .

awsm66, i didnt get rid of them, but winters here are not friendly, so i had to get tires that would hold up in it, but i wont be driving it much.

i want something with a deep dish and something that sits flush and is light.

I actually really liked the look of the G35 wheels better. Not bad, though.

Forget selling... donate them to someone who will use them... like me.

Of course at my current fund rate, I'll have enough to buy brake pads for my Maxima... this time next year.

Forgive my northern ignorance..

But why cant you use the G35 wheels/tires in the winter? Surely stock G35's roll around all winter on those same wheels and tires, no?

no his are ROTA Subzeros...they look similar but if you look close they are more different than you think.

I really didnt read all your post earlier all I saw was that you were thinking of getting rid of the G wheels. I think the wheels you have on are great for winter wheels considering most just use stock wheels and such...its pretty cool you have some decent looking 17s for winter use. I am glad I dont have to worry about different wheels here although I do hope we get some snow this year...I dont think we have had any in about 5 years (not that stuck anyway). It snowed pretty good when my wife was pregnant with my oldest (7 now) and maybe one other time since then.

Dont get rid of the G wheels though .

Yeah, I think 18s are overkill myself and 17s fit the bill just right.

Nice rims. My mom has the exact same on her Toyota Solara. Yes, my dad and I picked out some rims in place of the dinky 15" hubcaps in came with. They are the RSF-2 model if I remember correctly.
