actually a blown VE trans is a bit unusual.
it's the VG trans that always blows

Unusual, but it happened to mine. I now have a JDM auto trans and it shifts very firmly and has taken alot of abuse.

so i am trying to figure out why i asked a simple question and all the posts on my thread have nothing to do with whether or not there will is a difference between the 2 transmissions. if you want to talk about how much you like yukons or how you blew your trans then go start your own post.

I poked my head in here initially to see if I could contribute to your question and seeing as it was already answered, decided to shoot the **** a little bit. As internetautomar said, lighten up guy!

i know this doesnt really have to do with what your talking about, but i just did a conversion and its all done and everytime i punch the gas in any gear it will grab a little and then start slipping. And the hotter it gets the worse it gets, like to the point where i cant even go 1mph with the clutch all the way out. I just got it back from the shop and they said the problem was just a bad clutch and so they put in a new clutch, and the problem is still the same. Could this have to do anything with DOING THE CONVERSION? PLEASE HELP!!

I'm currently having mine rebuilt but it's only coming with a one year warranty so I'm sure I'll be having problems around this time next year.

Ah, mustang... much to learn. One goes to Japan for JDM! No, seriously, I'm not sure either but I had to post something to say welcome to the .org! Especially since you represent Hampton Roads.
