Hey, I was just wondering if anyone could tell me what headlight bulbs are most similar to H.I.D. lights. I know that APC makes some bulbs and a harness that comes pretty close but I haven't found out where to buy those yet. So if anyone has any info as to which bulbs offer that H.I.D. style please let me know. Thanks!

There are no "simlar to HID" lights. HID and the standard lights are 100% different. They may hare Xenon gas in common, but that's it. The lights that are out now, are like 10% Xenon charged, and they're just really white with a painted blue bulb. The lights are white, that's it. Nothing special, don't pay much for it.

to be honest with you no bulb is going to come close to looking like h.i.d especially with our weak *** 9004 system, all bulbs will look more or less the same.... some will give a bright white effect and some will give you a blue effect, i have put in all kinds of bulbs in my 92 se ....apc,hiper industries,piaa,eurolites,raybrigs.....its all crap......the only way to get the h.i.d. look is to get a real h.i.d. xenon lighting system which will run you $600-$800 depending on where you get the best deal.anyway as far as bulbs if you are looking for appearance (nice blue light)try hiper industries plazma xenon...if you are looking for increased visibility over stock bulbs try philips blue vision, narvas,or piaa superwhites(you'll have to shell out more $$$ for piaa but you can get the same effect from bluevisons so why even mess with piaa)

If you go with the 'blue look', be careful. A lot of them are illegal. It's no big deal if the cops in your area have better things to do, but if you live in a town where they're looking for reasons to hand out tickets, blue light is an easy citation.
