Flat black max

I was a little tired of seeing black primer on gloss black and shiny pop rivits.

When spring comes i'll do more fiberglassing and get some new paint if all goes well.

I didn't think it came out too bad for a rattle can job. (1 coat)

Nice dual exhaust So what kind of prep work did you do before you painted it? I'm thinking about doing this to my Z, it doesn't need any bodywork but the clearcoat is peeling everywhere.

Well I going to have to sand prime and block it out when I actaully paint it. So i just washed it and sprayed it. The paint went on real thin, won't be to much to take off later.

Oh yeah one thing I failed to mention and you may or may not know this already. Rattle can primer is usually lacquer primer and lacquer primer is porous. In other words hopefully you didnt paint any bare metal or you will get rust under the primer if it gets wet.

I didnt know this when I first started and primed a whole door that was stripped. I sanded it later only to find it full of surface rust. Anyway just thought I would add that...its something you probably already know but others dont so its not a waste of typing lol.

I didn't prime, just used flat black paint from the comcercial grade rust oliem or something.

The wiper is oversized by alot. It's an old ricer single wiper mod. At the time the driver link was busted and it grew on me.

Had to get a pipe bend from the cat to the muffler and remove the spare tire well, then patch it. Other than that, it was a charm, lo.

I am not MR. Goon but I will answer what I know...sorry bored and not sure when he will be back on anyway .

His kit is indeed the WW kit. It appears he modified the front to be a widemouth by cutting the lower section of the bumper and upper part (and cross bar) of the WW kit.

The headlight/corners are his own creation. He posted how he did it with illustrated pics. Basically he took his factory corners apart and painted them black, put a different kind of light inside it (like a fog projector or something) and then attached it to his headlights by using the Wade (or GTS) headlight covers to make them a one piece headlight.

Very nice work and I think he spent a good bit of time on it.

Good call, Goon's car would look fantastic with the black cherry color some 94-96 Impala SS's had.
