weird problem help!!!

I have a 94 max and after a while of running perfectly fine it just cuts out. But the weird thing thing is is that right away the car will start back up. My best guess is that it is the ECU cutting out the signal to the coils. Has anyone had this problem before. Does anyone know if there is a TSB out on something like this any help would be very much appreciated.

Thanks Juan

I'llassume you have a VE because you mention coils... but I had this exact problem (plus some other symptoms). How often does this happen to you? Mine started off rather infrequently (maybe a few times every 1000 miles, but it got so bad I couldn't go a block without losing it.

I got some pretty good help in that thread.

closest thing ive had to that is my car wont start sometimes because it thinks its in reverse (supposedly, the tranny has been rebuilt...its a little sensitive now), so i have to tap it forward a little bit to remind it that its in park

I had the same exact problem you speak of when I just bought my car in August. Just learned how to drive stick at the time. It would happen only when I would just leave it in neutral while decelerating because I didn't really know how to downshift.. Once I learned how to properly shift gears, for some reason I never get this problem anymore, even though I feel it is no way connected.

How many keys on your keyring?

I am guessing ignition switch. Not the exact problem i had. My problem was i would turn the key to start it and nothing. then turn the key and it would start right up. Maybe having opposite effect. Just a guess for ya.

Do you have clean battery contacts? That will make it cut out.

Hondas have arecall for this problem with the ignition switch. Maybe thats your prblem. Does the dashlights and everything shut down like its been turned off or does the engine just die?
