when you get to be my age (with 2 little ones) its more about giving since I pretty much buy what I need when I need it but with that said I got some Alabama shorts and shirts from my wife and a paint gun from my dad & mom.

My girls got everything under the sun (my wife always goes over board) and I got my wife diamond earings. The other big gift I am giving is a laptop to my oldest sister because she really needs one...cant wait until she opens it. Its an older one I refurbished but she will love it.

I agree about the kid part. My son got a whole room full of toys and things. GeoTrax, V-Smile, Tonka and John Deere stuff.

My wife and I decided to just fill each other's stockings this year. She got me some candy and stuff.

I put a 30GB video ipod in her stocking

You got an 06 now congrats!!!! I got a new clutch for my sunbird!!!!!!! Burned the first one doing burn outs. It's terribly easy to spin the tires in first and during a hard 1-2 shift.

The best part was giving gifts and I enjoyed watching my 15 month old girl open her gifts and pig-out for dinner. I got some clothes and a couple of books which is always good. I am also getting MST3K Season 6 on DVD but it's delayed getting here. If you know what MST3K is then you understand and you're a geek.
On the other hand, my ex in GA decided to stay at home with my 8 year old boy and turn the phone off. I have called numerous times to wish my son a Merry Christmas and tell him that I love him but she is having it her way. I called her mother and some friends but they can't get thru to her either. I think it was very selfish and unfair to the boy. If I pulled a stunt like that she'd freak out.

The usual goods topped off with a Seiko; now if only I can make the max look as good as my watch I'll be set.

Sorry about your son. It's a shame the MST3K DVD's aren't there, a good laugh cures many ills.

Santa was supposed to bring me a rust free 3rd Gen VE 5 spd but I had to settle for this:

Our 5.1 surround sound system will be hooked up when the work on our basement is finally done (Only missing the lights and ceiling... and the handle to the door in the background.)

I also got Medal of Honor European Assult (PS2), Star Wars Episode III, an itunes giftcard and cash.

Congratulations on the job Matt. Let me know how that steering wheel works compared to the controller in GT4.

I haven't used the controller yet, but the steering wheel is freaking AWESOME!!
I ran it on an S13 on a road course for a few minutes and it felt and handled just about like my S14.. I also did some of the dirt rally stuff in a WRX in GT3, and the wheel actually pulled and vibrates just like if I were driving on gravel.

the last time I played video games of any sort was about 15 years ago on an original NES, so I've been deprived of the advances over time but this is AMAZING. I drove GT4 on a few tracks I've personally seen and watched countless videos on online, and the only difference in them is the vertical aspect- you just can't get the effects of gravity down on a video game system as you could in a real car.. but let me tell you some of the hills at Sears Point (Infineon Raceway) still made my stomach jump watching them on the screen! you can feel the steering get light as you go over the crest, then fight like mad as you bottom out and turn hard into the corner. just awesome for a video game.

(and the main reason we bought the whole system is for me to practice there cheaper than going to the track for a weekend and dumping $1000 in tires and gas every couple of days)...

Hehe, wait until you get really into it. The GT series has advanced so much over the last few years since it's first debut in 96'. It's probably a whole new world for you since the last games you played were on NES lol. Big difference, eh? There really is a big difference actually in the way the cars react to input in GT3 compared to GT4 if you havn't noticed. Im having a hard time adjusting to the gameplay after so many years of the older one. But notice how you can actually see and feel the suspension working differently on each car in GT4? Thats nuts. Too bad no VE

Yes I must know the same thing... I plan on ordering a bunch of stuff rigt about the time I get my paint done on the Max.

Btw... you should also get NFSU2... racing is ok. Me and the wife mostly play it to mod the cars. I always try to make the Focus and other little cars the ugliest things ever seen. Which I seem to fail on, cause whenever you add anything to it, it makes it 20 times better than stock.
