I cant take it anymore, none of the mechanics know what the problem is. My console and my stick is really hot in that area, I think it has something to do with the exhaust it over heats, and makes the inside of the car very hot the console part where the shifter is and the shifter part it self. u think its the plate that went bad that help the heat above the exhaust?

1) Jack up car and support prporly on stands.
2) Take a look inbetween the cat and the underbody.
3) Make sure the stock heat shields are in place.
4) If not, take the appropriate steps to correct the problem
5) If shields are in place, consider the fact that the cat could be clogged, justifing a purchase of a new one.
6) Consider not calling your taillights GTR lights. They don't really look like GTR lights at all.

Look for an exhaust leak in both flange areas. That could do it.

LOL . Im going to try one more. The only thing I can think off is maybe the heat shield has gone bad, but it looks fine not rusted or anything like that.
