wow man, i bet you're happy, all in all you've: removed original 89 tranny, installed ve tranny, removed that and engine, removed engine from junk yard, installed in 89, bought a true ve, removed that blown engine and tranny and replaced with the junk yard one?

wow

the headliner is a simple and pretty cheap fix. You can go to a upholstery shop and buy headliner material for cheap. Get some spray glue and you can put the new material in...if you can do an engine swap you can do the headliner.

well today i had some problems.......the control arm???? bushings are SHOT! i mean they are totally gone...so the steering sucks......when i floor it... and i hit a bump or it shifts.. the car jerks to the right (pretty dangerously).... at first i had the speed sensor all messed up.. so i wasnt getting my speed on my cluster....and i guess since that was wired wrong.....my tranny wouldnt downshift for the life of itself.....rewired it and it was fine......it is just that the steering is loose.... the brakes........you sometimes have to push it to the floor to stop you......and i have about 300 LBS worth of tools in the back seat and trunk still........ohh and it wouldnt go into park for some reason... but finally got it into park...... but all in all... fun day today...... i trashed the set of front tires on the car (they were trash anyways)..mmmm do i love the smell of burnt rubber.....my old car handles like a dream.. this car you can definately tell it has over 220,000 miles on it.. but what can you do??????.. ill probably just switch over the bushings from my old car to the new one... ohh and the old car was a 1991.. not a 1989.. but yeah post #3 is right

Grats man. Definately a good way to start off the new year. If the pedal is going to the floor on the brakes, I would bleed the brakes before you drive it again. If that doesn't work, try the master cylendar from your other car.

noe i put in an automatic... the only stick shift near me had over 300,000 miles on it.. so i said screw it.. this auto trans had 68,ooo miles on it... and it is the VE trans.. not the VG trans (not as many problems) so i think i am safe for a while..but if this tranny goes 5-speed time! ohh and thanks andy044 for the diagrams!!!!!

As long as your car is running the right way I think you will pwn him. Watch out though...those things are light I belive they're somewhere between 2500 and 2700 compared to our Maximas..mine weighed 3324lbs last week when I got my emissions test.

Go get him tiger, show him what a Maxipad can do to a Pee-On

haha I drove all the way from D.C. to MS without a radio and a droning muffler. It was a very long drive but I was so excited I didnt get bored at all. I pretty much drive for a living and to keep from getting bored I think about all the stuff I can and will do to the car etc.
