How Hard are fuel Injectors?
I have recently had a Fuel Injector Clog Up. How hard would it be for me to find the clogged one and replace it? The Local shops all estamate about 300$ for them to do it. I'd rather do it myself if its not extremely hard.
to find the faulty one, start the engine and pull out each spark plug one at a time and see if the rpm drops. if it does, it means that cylinder is firing. replace the wire and move to another cylinder till you pull one and engine speed stays the same i'd check to make sure you're getting a spark to the faulty cylinder before assuming it's the injector. replacing is a matter of disconnecting all the pvc hoses and everything else connected to the intake plenum as well as it, to get to the injectors.

Not hard, but time consuming if the faulty one is on the firewall side (because you have to remove the intake manifold / plenum).
it should cost you about 100 dollars to do it yourself, youll need a new gasket for the plenium and an injector , i got the gasket for 10$ from nissan and an injector for 85 from a neer by shop, it took about 2 hours to get everything apart and reconnected , it's not that bad except for now... the cold weather... this was also my first time having to take apart anything >.<

That's the same one that went bad on me.
It's not too difficult of a job. Just make sure you take your time. Some pointers.
1) Check all your injectors before starting this job. Take an ohmmeter and measure the resistance for each injector. It should be between 10-14 ohms if I remember right. I found that I had one injector that was just dead. Another injector that was out of spec., so I ended up changing 2 injectors.
2) Make sure you get the injector with the same colored dot as the original.
