much smoother when in Drive?

My 92 GXE auto, when geared in Park or N, the steering wheel shakes, while if i put in Drive, it is way much smoother.
Any idea?
I can't hear miss firing from exhaust ( 6 new injectors recently).
Could this be motor mount?
The PCV hose is pretty petrified and a little crack in the end. Could this be causing the rough idel?
Any hint would be greatly appreciated.
TIA.
Denga

i think that your idle is a little too low.. increase it a tad.. it is the little screw below the throttle thing under the hood hear the butterfly valve

Well, it's at around 800 rpm when idling.
Previously it wa in N or P when it idled smoother and in D it shaked.
Now just the other way.
?
Thanks.

I can't help you with the shake in P, but in D, it's pretty obviose why it doesn't shake when it's in gear. In D, the tranny has a hold of the engine in a way where it keeps it from shaking.
