ipod and maxima

ipod and maxima

ok so i have a pioneer head unit in my maximas dash and i bought the cd changer to rca adapter do that i can plug my ipod into it....however my head unit does not detect it any one done this yet or know how?

i ment aux input not rca....

i have an aux input on mine and i just plug the bish into it and it works.

what model is the head unit

you might have to turn it on in the menu or it just may noy be compatible

yeah might have to set it to aux, probably doesnt autoselect

This has little to do with your car being a Maxima and more to do with the type of HU you have.

You might want to try in the audio and electronics section. There are probably a lot larger group of people with in-car ipods.

We have an ipod for our Infiniti, but I am too cheap for the changer control input and I don't like the power antenna up all the time for an FM modulator. Therefor, I spent $9 at Wal-Mart for a tape adapter, since it has both a CD player and tape deck.

i know this is maxima forum but it is the only forum im a part so i figured i would ask my head unit is a pioneer deh-p5500mp

2 things u can look for 1st reset the head, and cd-changer unit so that the processor in the deck will recognize all devices,the are processor rest buttons on the deck bottom or top right and changer with the door open look lower right or left, since u are daisey chaining if u can control your changer then u should be able to control your i-pod. u shouldnt have to mess with the AUX portion in your deck unless you are plugging your i-pod directly into your deck!! got me. lastly, just unplug and reconnect the daisey cables from deck to changer and to ipod.

yea a reset should work thats how it worked for my HU when i bought a AUX adapter

I have a sony HU in my Sunfire and AUX is a selection on the source button..thank god i have a Sony..I friggen hate pioneer lol
