Wow that looks awesome. Are they covered in a fabric? or is it just painted black? Did you consider getting the ED 6.5 woofers? How do these sound?

now thats nice, but will there be any problems with the 8"s vibrating the inside-of-the-door stuff, motors tracks or stuff. I have heard of this being a problem with other cars but never even thought about doing in a Max. It would be kind of interesting to know if you can buy a pair....

That looks real clean. Did you think about flush mounting the x-overs?

nice work...have you deadened the doors or made enclosures for the 8's? If not, you should DEFINITELY do this. Although, they probably won't sound good in enclosures because they have a phase plug. I'd recommend sealing/deadening your doors if you haven't already instead of the enclosure idea.

They're covered in a paint on suede. I considered the 6.5 but fell for the 8's They sound awesome now I'm working on beefing up the base.

No problems with fit structure or stability. Window opens and closes fine. If I were you I definately would.

LOL That what my friends ask, but I wanted to keep the original pocket.

I didnt use anything like Dynamat but the panels are sealed from the back end by fiberglass to create an enclosure.
