Warpspeed muffler rusted out...

So my warpspeed muffler has a 1 inch hole in it now. That sucks. I want to get a new magnaflow, but their muflers have a 2.25 inlet. I believe the Warpspeed is 2.5... Do you think I will have problems with this, or could I have a muffler shop work around it? Also it does not say if Magnaflows inlet pipes are offset left or right... Does anyone know?

I have the full warpspeed exhaust. Does anyone else have this with a different muffler attached?

Only the tip was stainless, I believe the rest was aluminized steel by the look of it. Just a regular muffler with Made in USA stamped into it. They put a stainless tip on though, and by gosh, it has rust on it! I am happy with performance, but I am not happy with the muffler, its only a year old! So I was just looking at a decent replacement. I had a stillen (magnaflow) exhaust on my 95 max and that was really nice.

magnaflow makes a lot of mufflers with a 2.5" inlet
do you want one with tips?

A muffler shop can shrink or expand pipe to fit. No point in buying a adaptor.

Cool. Thanks, one last question, has anyone else had problems with the warpspeed exhaust? When I got it I was a bit dissapointed with the quality, but now that it is rusting w a hole in it I am kind of mad. I mean, I have had it for a year as of last week. I cant believe the stainless tip has rust on it either....not very stainless.

I lied, I have another question...does anyone know if the magnaflow inlets are centered on the exhaust or are they offset to the right or left? I would be getting an oval exhaust with a single tip.

Magnaflows have a center inlet, unless you buy their truck version.

And if the WSP had rust on the SS tip, I would contact them. I have a SS Ravin Muffler, and there's not one bit of rust, and they salt the roads like crazy here.

1. call Warpspeed and discuss your problem with them before coming online and *****ing about bad products to everyone.
2. you can get magnaflow mufflers just about any way you like them. look on their website for a catalog.
3. you live in detroit.. I have a feeling they use quite a bit of salt up there. anything you get that isn't stainless isn't goign to last incredibly long up there.

Well, Matt Im not talking bad about Warpspeed's product performance (hp gains etc.). I'n no way have I tried to disrespect Warpspeed or go out of my way to make them look bad. In fact I am happy with the performance I achieved from the product, and the price I paid for it. However I am mad that it has worn out rather quickly and I need a replacement. Yeah I live in Detroit, yeah they use salt but alot less than Wisconsin or Minnesota, two states that I have spent my fair share of winters in. I would reccommernd Warpspeed, just not the muffler I had because of the above problem. I was simply wondering if anyone else had the same problem....
