Trunk-cabin access question, help

One thing I hate about my 3rd gen, or any 3rd for that matter, is its lack of trunk access form the cabin due to that "hump" in the back of the trunk that hugs up against the rear seat (I think it's some kind of "harmonic" stabilizer...something...someone help me out here). Has anyone out there ever "converted" their rearseat/trunk so that there IS a little door/hatch for trunk access? Pictures would be great...thanks
