Welcome to the 300zx club. I LOVE mine I got 225/50 sp8000's and they grip like crazy. In this pic you can also see the "gxe" fogs which I installed.

Mike,
Do you know if there is enough room to install some 300 ZX calipers and rotors on there as well without a lot of cutting and grinding? I've tried to check the search feature and asked this question several times, but no response...

300zx calipers/rotors
The calipers will fit, but there is a bit of cutting and grinding. The calipers will not fit over the steering knuckles without grinding, and the dust shield will need to be removed, and finally the rotors have to be made smaller by 3mm in radius to clear. Every rotor set afterwards needs the same.
In the end, it's what made me go for the fastbrakes kit (though I never installed them) instead of 300ZX brakes. No cutting except for the dust shield and the rest is bolt on.

Re: Re: 300zx calipers/rotors
If you do a search on "wilwood OR fastbrakes", you should get some hits. The bottom line is that you get:
Wilwood billet aluminum calipers + pads + mounting brackets + 12.25" rotors, and you could use the existing brake lines.
These were made to fit 3rd and 4th gen cars but apparently 5th gen use a thicker rotor and the kit doesn't fit right. They were also intended to fit under the 16" 4th gen SE wheels, but nobody has tried that yet as far as I can tell.
FYI, the maxima has 10.8" rotors stock IIRC. The kit is also significantly lighter than the stock setup (the search hits should show weight differences)
The deal is over with, but they apparently intend to go again. I also believe that Cheston (www.maximadriver.com) is going to develop a similar kit with an option for an even larger rotor (needing 17in wheels)
Cost was $850 for the intro deal and intended to be $1200+ for future deals. This is in comparison to the Stillen kit at > $2200 and the new Stillen kit at ~$1750 and a Skyline conversion ~$1500 and a 300ZX conversion estimated at $800 or so including caliper rebuilds and machining to various parts.
If really interested in a kit, please PM me
thanks
