Sold the Maxima

Finally got it sold on Saturday (I've been sick all week which I why I haven't posted this until now... I'm still sick though ) . It had been sitting around and hadn't been driven in a little while so when I had found that someone I was talking to online was interested in buying a Maxima, I let them know that I had one I was looking to sell.

Cleaned it up a bit, threw a few new parts on it to make sure it'd run pretty good to get him back to his place, and it was sold.

It was my very first Maxima and definitely was a fun car. Charcoal paint, dark interior, it was great. The only thing that I didn't like about it was that it was an automatic... Oh well, its definitely going to a good home now.

Who is the new buyer?? This is the turbo max right? Did you allow the new buyer to do a couple of "test" runs? Anyways no more borg warner FWD tranny now.

Still have the turbo max, its the 1990 SE. The 91 GXE was the first Maxima I got but since it was an auto down the road decided to get the SE 5-speed because one had just so happened to pop up locally for a decent price.

Sold it to a guy in northern Kansas, he was a domestic guy but his girlfriend got a Maxima and it started to grow on him ever since so finally decided to get one. I think he said he's been to this forum before. Next time I see him on I'll ask him and see if he'll come on here every now and then.

I never knew you had a non-turbo max floating around

Yeah, I never really talked about it all that much as after I got my SE it was pretty much the family car. Dad used it for a while, both of my brothers did (which was a mistake), I drove it while I was doing the engine swap in mine.

Besides having to get the tranny rebuild, that thing still ran like a champ. The thing would turn on right as you clicked the key. It required no more than 1 single second of engaging the starter to actually start. It was amazing.

My engine is the same way. Now if I can only get the new tranny in there...
