Speedometer question

Does my 91 SE have a speedometer cable or is it all electronic?

Greeny 03-23-2006 02:45 PM

All electronic....

Telepathic. It just knows.

I thought it was all done by GPS

So where can I unplug something to make the speedometer inoperable?

what legal reason could you possibly have for doing that?

unkn0wn180 03-25-2006 06:15 PM

Legal reason ? "officer my spedo said i was well within the speed limit" - dont think that will work.

on another note, driving my mates maxima for the first time the other day, and i swar i lookd down and the speed had just droped to zero and back up to 60km, and just after that the clock seemed to disipear, is this related? might check the fuses when we get home.

internetautomar 03-25-2006 06:40 PM

sounds like a bad connectin somewhere, have fun tracing it

unkn0wn180 03-25-2006 06:48 PM

well the speedo is fine now, it may not have droped, i just loked down and "thought" i saw it coming back up from 0 quite quickly..
and it was a well conisidance thats the clock stoped at the same time...
