89GXE,

I see that your are in OKC. There is a place in Dallas that can refurb your Bose. I had mine done. Depending on what you need. I needed everything done so mine was expensive.

They charge $100 each w/exchange for the front speakers. The backs are a little more complicated the amps are $90 each. And the cones are $40.

They fixed my headunit (blown fuse and short in volume ****, and broken tape deck) for $50.

And the Sony CD (factory)they fixed(clicks alot, and wont eject CDs) for $75.

I needed one cone (most people's cone are usually ok though) and I need both fronts.

So for almost $400 I restored the system to its original state. Maybe that was too much, but it sound great, and I've got a warranty with the work.

Maybe yours would be less since everything is probably not Broken.

What is the name of the place that fixed your Bose and do you have their number?
My sister lives and Dallas and maybe she could get pickk up a factory (Sony) cd for my 92 SE stick.
Thanks
