bye bye to maxima, hello to 240sx
I just picked up a 5spd 240sx today for an awesome deal.
all it needs is paint and a motor swap.
Im selling or parting out my maxima, whatever i get offers on.
Need money for my 240sx project.
so later guys, if you want the car for those who have seen it, im in georgia, and im asking 3k for the car with

has a small dent in the rear quater pannel that can be pulled out very easy
Ac works great and blows very cold! gets cold quick!
power sunroof, power windows, power mirros and everything! black interior, gray SE tweed seats.
paint is good, tires are great as well. just replaced 2 months ago.
runs great! no oil leaks, burns no oil.
i am the second owner of it, the first owner was an elderly person and had it from the time it was new untill about 2005.
the car had 134,000 miles on the clock when i got it, and now it has 156,000 miles, and runs like brand new.
a new engine was installed in 2005 in august. Transmission and clutch shift great!
no rust!
im willing to sell it for 3,000 or trade for a motor swap for my 240 + cash

*sigh* but im moving onto better and faster things.
ive realized, the j30, just isnt ment to be some quick mfin car. its just a quick 4door good looking car. But my 240 will be something else lol.
ive already got an LSD rear end waiting, and also some wheels, and few other goodies, just need to locate a motor swap, wireing harness and ecu.

Successful "project" cars require money, lots of it, and upfront. If it's your daily driver, have more than enough saved up so that if you do blow an engine/trans/whatever you can pay for a new one without doing a firehouse sale, and still go on day to day without it affecting your other finances.
Secondly, 240's take a considerable ammount of work to make them fast aswell.
As for the first post:
I'm going to leave it because I find it funny as hell, but this is not the buy/sell forum.
FWIW, I sold my car, a 1992 with 133,333 miles on it in PRISTINE condition and solid maintenance record book showing damn near everything being replaced for a little over what you are asking. That's a pristine VE 5spd to a non board member who even commented that although I was asking on the high side he feels comfortable with it because of the knowledge I displayed and the car was hard to find (unlike an Automatic VG)
You leave no information on the new engine. Where it was purchased, warranty information, exact mileage, and lets face it, a "carbon fiber distributor cover" is not going to generate interest as much as say the timing belt condition/replacement history and other maintenance information.
Lastly could you please stop using "JDM". There is no such thing as "JDM Red Gauge cluster Illumination". Apparently you have no idea what JDM parts are. You are better off leaving that crap out because anyone that knows anything about cars is not going to touch this car because one can only imagine how much of a hack job it is (example, that carbon fiber vinyl you have on your distributor cover).
There are a ton of other things such as your Irridium spark plugs showing you are lazy with maintenance, but mainly that test pipe which says not only do you not care about breaking laws, but you aren't even selling a licensable car because the new owner will be in for a nice surprise when they have to emissions test it. On top of that the test pipe does about as much for you power wise as the Irridium plugs (which because I'm sure you are unaware is jack, absolutely nothing, squat). What it does do is give the world better odds if say you lock yourself in your garage with the car running.

i said any swap because weither it be an sr20det, an rb or a good Ka24de swap, either i can work with! the car has no good motor in it now so i could care less, i can work with either an rb or an sr.
we dont have emissions where im at, also i could careless, ngk ix plugs are better then throwing in some crappy 50cent plugs from walmart or something. Serioulsy i take care of the car. Timing belt is fine, the motor that was swapped in only had around 40k miles.
Car has only been in one minor accident, it was rear end, and only thing that needed to be replaced was the bumper, no frame damage either.

btw, the gauge cluster bulbs were changed, i got a few packs of bulbs off ebay, im not sure of the brand because nothing on the package was in english.

He'll probubly be back again. He was in here before with a different SN. It's Corey Blade btw. He tried recently to sell his car on importatlanta.com but got exposed for bad deals. Then said he decided not to sell the car because of some bs he made up about the car dealership switching the odometer. It's good to have him go though... Sorry for another defaced max. The last one he put a civic front bumper on.
