Hey,

I just got my battery charged up and put it back in, but the battery light on the front panel is still on...????? any reason why it should be ...??

Also the indicator which shows ur parking breaks are on, is lit...?? but I made sure that the breaks were down......

I dunno.....does anyone know why this is so...??

Check your ground wires but it's more than likely your alternator.

I had a similar problem and it was a faulty alternator which wouldn't recharge the battery.

OK..after reading around the net enough times, I am fairly certain that its the alternator that is faulty. Anyway has anyone chnaged the alternator themselves, if so do you have links to any set of directions that I need to follow. And lastly how much do you think it should cost me to get one rebuilt (before I get ripped off from the auto store).

Thanks a lot for all the help.

This could either be a faulty alternator or a slipping belt. A slipping belt you might say? Yes a slipping belt. Any current below normal or any fluxuation in current, for that matter, will set off the Battery Light.

As for the parking break light, I dunno what to tell ya.
