I finally came to my senses after licking the screen for about 5 minutes. One thing is for sure: no photoshop. That is the true thing.

I have to go change my pants now.

From what I can see from the pics.. looks like he isn't using alot of boost. Judging from the way the intake manifold and the intake piping to the Turbo and also the fact that there's no intercooler must mean that he's running no greater than 8psi, plus it's an automatic. I've noticed that even an upgraded auto tranny (such as Level 10 stage II) will not hold up to big boost. Also, I've been looking at the motor and it's hard to tell but it looks like he's using a the stock VG30E motor. If only I could see more pics of the engine bay I could figure out how he's running the Turbo setup. Looks to me like he just got new exhaust manifolds, Y-pipe, downpipe and relocated battery. Pretty simple don't ya think? hehehe..

4psi is the point where boost is not worth the trouble. 6psi is fine since the stock Z Turbo uses 6psi. With 6psi gains are noticable and the hp output is around the 190-200hp range (around 160-170fwhp dynoed). The problem with this turbo setup in the pic is the intake pipe to the throttle body does not look mandrel bent (or maybe it is, just a bad pic) and the diameter is too small for big boost. I think if you were going to Turbo the max.. I would consider 8-10psi with Intercooler on the stock VG30E motor assuming everything is upgraded for higher boost such as fuel system. Even if your running 7-8psi on the stock VG30E I still would recommend Intercooler because of the 9:1 compression just to be on the safe side.

Having an aftermarket tach is always a good thing. The stock tach is not 100% accurate. With an aftermarket tach, the RPM is much more accurate and you can also dial in your shift points with help of the shift light.

Well, I have to say that is one ugly install. Looks like he ran into budgeting problems and decided to lower the quality level. I mean, is that dryer vent hose on the driver's side beside the filter? Come on! It is a Max engine gone turbo. If you look you can see the AAC valve. Also, the intake is in the wrong place and I didn't see a dust cover. He also still has the valve cover with the rise in it for the oil. I give it ** (2 stars) for effort only. I bet it's more show than go.
