An LED flashlight in the glove box would be brighter and take up less room/weigh less.

If you want something for self defense, take a class and get a concealed firearms permit.

Oh, feel free to mix in a vacuum cleaner before taking interior pics

speaking of which, I got a Swiss Army knife from the factory in Switzerland with my name on it. Cool gift from my bro a couple years ago. However, it never gets used because I have a tool much greater -- the Leatherman...

Funny you say that, this knife in question is from Switzerland as well my mom picked it up on a trip there a few years back. It absolutely pwns any other swiss army knife I've had (which is to say quite a few when I was a kid).

Passenger side pocket has a Leatherman Wave...

I was going to mount my fire extinguisher there but on the passenger side... But I thought it took up too much room. I think I'm going to put it under the glove box, right after the dash ends. There's some air ducting back there, but it should fit nicely.

And no, I'm not mounting the fire extinguisher to look cool. I keep it under my pass seat as is... I just thought it should have a more permanent but easily accessable mount point.

I was never a boy scout, but there's nothing wrong with "always prepared".

I keep a 24" baton (extendable) between my drivers seat and the center consol. It's black and so blends in pretty well down there and isn't seen easily. I've seen too many fights/people getting jumped while driving and figured it would be good to have around.

I've seen someone get hit in the head with a fire extinguisher. It wasn't pretty. That makes my fire extinguisher dual-purpose.

Thoughts: a. Fire Extinquisher mounted behind center console. Person in middle rear can straddle it if you have x3 in the back. Otherwise, I mounted mine in the trunk. b. Mag light mounted directly behind driver or passenger on the pillar between the doors.

a. Fire extiguisher is too long to mount on the floor between the back of the console and the back seat. I thought about mounting it up against the back seat in the foot well, but it makes it hard to reach in those times of need.

I thought about mounting it to the b-pillar, but the head-concking factor was too high.

Maybe I'll hard pipe in a CO2 discharge system for the engine bay and house all the actuators and bottles in the trunk... put an actuator button on the console... that would be sweet. But what does that say about my trust in the car? people already doubt my car's reliability because I carry a fire extinguisher.

i agree that a 9mm is the best self defence tool..... but i do prefer to keep a 24" steel tubing one inch thick(1/8 " wall). now thats my beater and i just let sit on the left side of my seat. as for a retractable baton, i have one too but i dont think i want to have a officer catching me around here with one. at least i can say my beater bar is for work for prying things apart. well that and even though the 2nd amendment is OUR right, you are assumed guilty until proven innocent.

I Michigan if you have a concealed weapons permit and get pulled over, the officer will kindly ask you for your firearm at gunpoint.

Here's my maglite, fits quite well in the glovebox! Not much of a weapon, but us Canadians are a peace-loving people!

IF you look closely it's a genuine nissan light, glare ruined the photo. Came with the car!

What...wow lol. In MS you dont even need a permit to carry your gun in your vehicle because the car is considered an extension of your home. You do however need one to carry it on your person.

In AL you must have a permit to carry it in your vehicle or person...same permit. I had a concealed permit when I lived there and carried a nice polished nicle (looked chrome) Colt .380 in the small of my back with a nice holster...no one ever knew it was there.
