new shocks needed?

im thinking of getting the sprint springs which give a 2 inch drop. when i was talking with my friends they said that they recommend me getting new and better shocks. is this true?? do i need to get newer shocks just cuz i lowered the car or its cool without buying new ones

Well....

the best thing to do is to get it all done at once (ie-springs and struts) it'll save you the trouble of doing it all over when the stock struts give out which they will since they are older. but if you still wanna do it on the stock struts that will be fine and they are more than adequate to handle the Sprints. I know Maxse91 has Sprints on his stock struts and he's had no probs. and BTW Sprints are 1.8" drop for the 3rd gen and 2.0" for the 4th gen.
