Stupid Disc Brakes!

1992 Max GXE

My front left disc had ripples on it from overheating.

Discs got too hot and so did the pads. They were ruined. So I got new Discs (something from Autozone) and new pads (Duralast). The front left is again making a shuddering sound when I brake. It usually happens when Im pointing downgrade.

It better not be screwed up again. But if so, what is causing it? I had never had a problem like this before and I do not brake hard. Dont abuse my brakes.

I am seriously considering branded rotors and pads. Can I get some suggestions? Of course Brembo is on the list, but anything else?
X-drilled, slotted? Pads? Models #s, links?

Thanks guys.

frozen/stuck caliper?

brembo blanks and axxis ultimates FTW. i believe importrp is doing a GD on them in the GROUP DEAL section. pick yourself up a good DOT4 brake fluid...(stay away from silicone fluid)

BUT if your caliper(s) is/are frozen then NOTHING will stop them from overheating again.
