BTW My DSM weighs in at 2246 with full interior, it was weighed at the scrappers, and at the truck inspection booth off the highway near my area.
So thats almost 1000lbs less than the Maxima, So how is the dsm as heavy as the Maxipads we all drive.
dsm doesnt only refer to talon/eclipses, in case you didnt know.
Im gonna get another few runs at the dyno, since the guy didnt print out the graph in rpm's rather than the mph scale.
And well see.

As for friends all driving the same car, you are all just as hurting as those honda/vw kids.

Ignorance is bliss, but i choose not to ignore you stooges on this thread. And yes, i will keep coming back, its just too bad this damn site is still too damn slow.

More comments to come!!

one more thing,

to shave .1 off your 1/4 is not that simple on a NA motor.
so if you go from a NA motor, to a FA setup, I would sure hope to shave off at least 1sec of my times.

The maxima should have been designed with a carb setup.

And what kind of DSM are talking about? The 1st gen Talon/Eclipse weighed around 2900lb with fwd and about 3200 with all wheel drive. The second generation were even heavier. There aren't many cars around here that weigh 2246lbs. A 90 CRX weighs 2200lbs and a 90 Miata weighs 2100lbs. 3000lbs is considered heavy to you????? Ha!!! It's one of the lighter sedans out there by a longshot. Grand Prixs weigh 3500lbs, Accords 3200lbs, Acura TLs 3500lbs, etc. Who's chain you tryuing to yank when you say your DSM is 2200lbs and your Max is heavy. BTW, the 3rd gen Maxima SE weighs about 3150lbs and is heavier than the 4th gen. On the redesign, Nissan removed 80+lbs from the engine and lost another 70lbs in better stampings and lighter rear suspension. My Max weighs about 2985lbs with a 1/4 tank of gas.

As for your "torque equals tire spin" argument, pure BS. You know why you're spinning your tires like mad in 1st? Because your suspension is shot and your front is lifting and the rear is squating. I use to be able to light up my brand new 235/45R17s from any roll in 1st and 2nd gear spin was modulated by my foot because it was so bad. Then I got new struts and went to 16s with all season Yokohamas. You know what? I can hardily spin from a roll and I only chirp 2nd. My car launches far harder now. A few years back I use to own a 94 Z28 auto. In bonestock form it would barely spin the tires (unless you powerbraked it). You know what it ran? 13.9s bonestock with no tire spin. It put down 275 rwtq in stock form. Tell me how this equates into your tire spin equals torque argument?
