removing a crankshaft pulley...

what do you do if the impact wrench is not working?

put a socket with a large bar against the floor and tap the starter

ive done it 2500 times with wonderful results, not a single mishap. TAP the starter, dont make it turn 40 times

let the impact wrench do it's thing for a longer period of time. there's really no reason it won't break free. oh btw, now how would you like if it someone responded with "you suck at life"

Have someone wrap a belt around the pulley and hold on tight while you use the impact wrench.

nah i deserved that one. the pulley is too large to get one of those things on. i just did what that first guy suggested. just a slight tap on the starter and it came right off.

dude, i'm against insulting comments on here which is why i said what i said in that last post. i'm giving him a hard time for a comment that he made to someone asking for advice in another thread. which he replied to with "you suck at life". I don't blame you for taking that last comment out of context, but don't go declaring all of my posts as "smart as$ comments" because it's not even close to true. for example check out all of your 5 speed swap threads..

well to be fair i told him how to fix his problem in the same post as well. but it was meant as a joke. and i included a smilie just so people would know.
