Guys i need Help with Dual Exhaust
#1
I tried on searching for older posts on this but nothing tells me what i need to know. Is dual exhaust worth it or not? My plan is this. After the cat split the exhaust in two. With a 2.4" inch pipe. And a Greddy Evo muffler on each side. I heard you can loose back pressure, and thats not good. Any suggestions? Has anyone done the dual exhaust? Any tests or runs?

Everything sounds fine.....
excepct with 2.4" pipe you'll lose too much backpressure.....as Dan from WSP told me, use 2" piping back on both pipes and you'll be fine. some guys say you won't lose too much power, but IMO if the car wasn't designed for dual exhaust in the first place it won't help, but it sure as hell will look sweet!

I believe the problem you'd face is the spare tire well is in the way, you'll have to cut into it or completely get it off and smoothen the trunk out getting rid of the spare. It's some custom work but it's been done before.. I've seen pictures of this on 3rd and 4th gens.

A buddy at work did it to his max but it was only for looks. He just ran an extra pipe from a shorter dual outlet muffler between the rear bumper and the spare tire well to a 4" tip on the opposite side. It looked ok but I am not into big chrome tips etc. You wouldn't get any power from it I am sure beyond upgrading the exhuast route you have already. I am going 3" complete exhaust when I upgrade the rest of it, but I have a good reason to have that big of pipe.
