Rebuilding heads

I was just wondering who you all use for valves and springs seats and all of the other things needed to rebuild the heads? I'm going to have them ported and polished and would like to go with good valves unless the stock ones are good enough...

Thanks for the info... As far as having them ported and polished should I be careful or mindful of anything? Do you have any other tips or suggestions?

I have some. Hand them off to a pro and tell them what you want to accomplish. Pay your money and do it right.

Ferrea makes 1mm oversize valves for the VG. I forget part number, but look at them for a early (85-89) 300ZX with the VG30E.

for the head work, find a shop that works on Zs and see who they recommend for machine work on their engines. most of the time, the shops will pull them and send the engine to a machine shop for the work, then reassemble them at their own shop.

I have a connection for the head work. The shop is in Albany GA. This guys does awesome work. He does the work on the heads that Bekker's sells. I have dealt with him for years and do not use anyone else. He did my VE heads. He also did some VG heads (PnP) for me for a 4x4 truck and several Z24 heads.

Any ballpark estimates on what they'd charge to do a set of VE heads?

(Mine are already in and running, but I'm just wondering how much I got bent over)

I would like to know how much they charged as well. How can I get in contact with them?
